Bow Wow Meow Pet Insurance

Bow Wow Meow Pet Insurance Review

The cute name of this insurance policy provider believes that they can genuinely provide the best care plan for your dogs and cats. They offer four policies for your pets – the Bow Wow Meow Accident Plus Plan, the Peace of Mind Plan, the Ultimate Care Plan, and the Indoor Cat Plan. The Accident Plus plan is the basic plan among the four and covers both accidental injuries and illnesses, a maximum yearly benefit of $10,000, with a reimbursement rate of up to 80%. Your family pet can also get the paralysis tick benefits at $1,200. Some injuries covered by this plan are snake bites, burns, and incidents with vehicles.

For the Bow Wow Meow Peace of Mind plan, you can get the necessary coverage like in the Accident Plus plan, but with a higher yearly benefit of $15,000. The paralysis tick benefits are also more top at $2,000 coverage. However, compared to the basic plan, you can choose your reimbursement rate at 60%, 70%, or 80%. It also offers lower premiums than the Ultimate Care, and you can add the Routine Care benefit.

The Bow Wow Meow Ultimate plan has the highest benefits and most comprehensive coverage. This plan has a maximum yearly benefit of $20,000 with a $3,000 paralysis tick benefit. It still covers accidental injuries and illnesses and has up to 80% reimbursement from all vet treatment costs. Compared to the Peace of Mind Plan, this plan already has the routine Care included with a $0 excess payment per condition.

However, if you want a unique plan just for your laid back feline friend, the company offers the Bow Wow Meow Indoor Cat plan. This policy has a lower premium compared to other programs since your cat has a lower risk of getting injured while indoors. You can still get up to 80% of vet bills covered with a yearly benefit of $5,000. But since this policy has lower premiums, the list of covered injuries and illnesses are also limited.

With all the four insurance policies laid out, you must understand that there are claims, injuries, and illnesses that all the plans do not cover, such as pregnancies, elective procedures, behavioural problems, and pre-existing conditions.

You can quickly get a quick quote for your chosen plan and easily submit a claim once you become a member. For the quick quote, you can go to their website and click on the “Get a quick quote” on either the dog insurance or cat insurance.

To submit a claim, you can go to their website or print out a claim form and give it to your vet upon appointment. After the vet has filled in the claim form, you have to mail it to the claim centre. But take note that you must submit all claims within 90 days after the treatment date or the request will not be processed.

Submitting your claim has no limit, as long as your chosen policy covers it. So if you wanted the basic plan which is the Accidental Plus, you could have a maximum of $10,000 worth of claims.
