Here are the basic Details for the company:

Name - Knose Pet Insurance

Address - 81-83, Campbell St, Surry Hills, NSW 2010

Phone number - 02 8320 5200 1300 356 642

The Knose team started with giving wellness care to your fur babies to ensure that they live a long and happy life. Then CEO Tiann Dreyer noticed that when things go south, these beloved pets will more likely get treated with bills that could go up to $20,000 yearly. So, they launched Knose pet insurance.

The pet insurance policies of Knose are simple and straightforward. They have two plans, both for cats and dogs. The Knose Dog cover offers a yearly benefit of $25,000 max with a reimbursement rate choice of 70%, 80% of 90%. The inclusions of the policy are accidental injuries, illnesses, tick paralysis, emergency boarding, cruciate ligaments treatment, and routine care.

Tick paralysis, emergency boarding and cruciate ligaments benefit are all part of the $25,000 coverage of the policy. There is also no sub-limit for the plan and no additional excess charges.

If you are thinking of enrolling your pet with this policy, just know that their age eligibility is from eight weeks young to below seven years old. However, your pet can remain in the insurance plan and have the Lifetime cover if you continue to renew your policy.

Furthermore, vet visits and consultations, hospitalizations, surgeries and medicines and drugs are all part of the inclusions.

For the Knose Cat cover, your cat can avail an annual limit of $25,000 with a reimbursement rate choice of 70%, 80%, or 90%. Your cat also gets consultations and vet visits, emergency boarding and cruciate ligaments treatment for $25,000. The minimum age for the cover is eight weeks young, and the maximum age limit is seven years old.

Also, your cat gets entitled to hospitalization, surgery, routine care and medicines and drugs along with the other benefits. If your cat reaches its seventh birthday, do not fret. With the Lifetime cover, your cat can still avail the policy, as long as you continue to renew it.

What we like about the policies of Knose pet insurance is the shorter waiting periods for the illnesses benefit. Unlike other insurance plans which have 30 days, the Knose pet insurance policies only have a 14-day waiting period for the diseases and six months for the orthopaedics and hereditary conditions. Also, you can choose your reimbursement rates. In this way, you can choose to pay a little more or a little less for your pet’s treatment if you want higher premiums or lower premiums.

Lastly, if you read the policies on their website, you will notice that their insurance covers are simple and straightforward. It is effortless to understand, and there is no need to research any further.

But we have to consider that every insurance plan has exclusions. For the Knose pet insurance, exclusions are alternative therapies, behavioural problems, pre-existing conditions, ambulance rides and illnesses due to epidemics. The Knose team started with giving wellness care to your fur babies to ensure that they live a long and happy life. Why we like

Knose Pet Insurance

Easy Coverage: One of the primary features that pet owners look for in pet insurance is coverage that is simple to comprehend. Thankfully, Knose's pet insurance keeps things quite straightforward by providing just one level of coverage that pet owners may tailor to their requirements and budget. While it still remains crucial that you read the PDS before you apply, opting for a streamlined option such as this could be beneficial if you’re interested in keeping your cover simple.
Fully Customizable: Despite the fact that Knose pet insurance only provides one level of coverage, you may customise that level in a variety of ways to make sure your pet is perfectly covered. What choices do you then have? Depending on how much protection you believe your pet would require, you can set your benefit limit. You can decide how much of your veterinary expenses you want to recover. You can also decide how much excess you want to pay. Making these changes will not only make the cover better fit your pet, but they will also change the premium cost to fit your budget.
Excellent Coverage: Knose pet insurance offers coverage for a wide range of specific illnesses and accidents, including some that you might not discover with other insurers. When applying, make sure to read the PDS to learn exactly what is covered. While the majority of other pet insurance policies begin coverage at 8 weeks, Knose pet insurance extends coverage to pets from 6 weeks to 8 years of age. If you are picking up your pet early, this might be useful.
No Sub-Limits: The absence of sub-limits on Knose pet insurance is a significant deterrent. Almost all other pet insurance options on the market have sub-limits for treating ailments like cruciate ligament injuries and paralysis ticks, however Knose does not. As a result, you might request the full amount as opposed to a cap of, say, $2,600 on a cruciate ligament claim that could go up to $10,000. (up to your reimbursement rate and annual benefit limit, less any excess).
Reduced Waiting Periods: While Knose does have a one-day waiting period for some accidents, compared to the usual zero-day waiting period for other providers, it does offer a significantly shorter waiting period for certain ailments. They have a 14-day waiting period, but the majority of other plans have a 21- or 30-day waiting period. It's important to be aware that Knose imposes a 6-month waiting time before treating some ailments, such as cruciate ligament injuries, as well as before offering its optional dental and behavioural add-ons.
Yearly Excess: As we already mentioned, Knose pet insurance allows you to tailor the level of coverage. Depending on whether you wish to pay less at claim time with a lower excess or less on your premiums with a greater excess, you can choose an excess of $0, $100, or $200. In any case, it's important to note that, in contrast to the majority of other pet insurance plans, Knose has an annual excess rather than a per-claim excess. Hence, if you file more than one claim in a calendar year, you will only be responsible for the excess on the initial claim.
Available Add-Ons: Knose pet insurance offers a variety of extra add-ons that give you more possibilities to tailor your coverage. Behavioural Issues (covering issues like excessive licking, fur tugging, pacing, and destructive biting), Dentistry (covering concerns including dental infections, gingivitis, and periodontal disease), and Alternative Therapies (covering treatment such as acupuncture, physiotherapy and hydrotherapy). Please take note that these extras do not include routine or elective treatments, supplements used in alternative therapies, or general dental exams and cleanings.
Happy Clients: Some very satisfied customers are praising Knose's pet cover on
https://www.furbabyinsurance.com.au/, so it must be doing something right. Customers praise the provider for its excellent customer service, its transparent and caring demeanour, and its quick and simple claims process, earning Knose pet insurance an incredible 4.5 out of 5 stars at the time of writing.
The Mozo Exceptional Value Accident & Sickness Pet Insurance Provider of the Year in August 2021 and the 2021 Canstar Excellent Value Pet Insurance Award in the accident & illness category were given to Knose Pet Insurance, respectively.
Simple Claims: Knose asks pet owners to simply complete a brief claim form and attach the vet bill in order to make the claims process as simple as possible. Following that, it strives to rapidly handle each claim, contacting the veterinarian rather than the pet owner if more information is required.
Access to the Pet Health Line: Knose's pet insurance includes convenient 24-hour access to the Pet Health Helpline. In essence, this hotline serves as a resource for information that pet owners can utilize at any time of day or night to determine whether they should take their animal to the veterinarian, ask particular questions, or get general advice.
Extras: Need more extras? If you enrol in Knose pet insurance, you can take use of its emergency boarding option if you end up in the hospital and don't have someone to care for your pet. If you're traveling with your pet to New Zealand or Norfolk Island and end up needing to see a veterinarian, you can also benefit from having international pet insurance. See the PDS for terms that apply.
Pet Care Plans: In addition to providing pet insurance as a backup in case something goes wrong, Knose also provides pet care plans that aim to maintain pets' daily health. These plans, which are available on a subscription basis, include parasite protection delivered right to your door as well as extra perks like member discounts and immunizations.

What's good about

Knose Pet Insurance

Out of the all pet insurance examined on Furbaby, Knose has the highest annual benefit maximum ($25,000), costing an extra $10,000–$13,000 annually. Also, unlike most, it is free of sub-limits.
Its fourteen-day waiting period for diseases is roughly half that of competing products (30 days).
You can opt to have 70%, 80%, or 90% of your veterinary expenses paid for. Your premiums will be less expensive the lower the percentage. Only 2 other of the 13 policies we examined allowed you to do this.

What's other people are saying about

Knose Pet Insurance

4.4/5

  • Very happy with Knose, had a particularly expensive claim after my dog received a snake bite and they were caring and helpful through the whole process. The online claims process is easy but the processing does take up to a month to get reimbursed. It does always come though and they are happy to speed it up if you call. The monthly fee is worth the price for peace of mind for your pet.

  • Ive been with Knose for a little under a year now and my experience with them has been absolutely incredible. I have two dachshund puppies and they have both needed a number of different treatments and continuous vet visits for a variety or different issues and mishap nad I have made multiple claims in the last 12 months. Knose were really stellar when it came to handling my claims and every person I spoke to seemed to genuinely care about the situation and have our pets interests at heart. I would highly recommend them to anyone that has a fur baby and wants to protect them.

  • I love Knose. We have ongoing skin issues with our Aussie Bulldog, Ash the Tank. So easy to claim, you just get the vet to email the invoice to Knose. And they did it all from there. 90% back into our bank account! Wow. You can't go wrong with Knose.

  • I have two dogs insured with Knose. My eldest, Strudel, (1.5 yrs) has had a few claims in her almost 6 months of being insured. My 7 month old, Eddie, has had no claims. Every claim has been seen to by Knose and paid for promptly after assessment. One of the best things about them is they do the hard work for you. Unlike other insurance companies my vet sees, Knose chases the info for you instead of you having to submit it. Truly appreciate that. I also should point out that one of my claims was at a different vet than usual (emergency clinic) and there was not a single issue. I recommend Knose all the time. Willing to update this review if needed, but I don't think it will be :) Worth every penny so far
