Petsecure Pet Insurance

Petsecure Pet Insurance Review

Petsecure believes in the mission of pet rescue organizations, and therefore, they have been supporting these organizations for the past 15 years. They are one of Australia’s most experienced pet insurers, providing insurance policies that suit their budget and their pet’s personal needs.

The company has been a proud sponsor of several community-based pet rescue centres in Australia that is working to rescue unwanted dogs and cats. They are also backed by WaldenWood Group, under The Hollard Insurance Company Pty. Ltd.

There are two policy types in Petsecure, and each has four policy levels. The two policy types are the Accident and Illness cover and the Accident cover with four policy levels, namely, Secures I – IV.

The Petsecure Accident and Illness cover include a $12,000 maximum yearly benefit with hospitalization, surgeries, visit any licensed vets in Australia, free routine care, and alternative therapy as optional benefits, medicines and drugs, and Lifetime cover. For this plan, the minimum age requirement for your pet is eight weeks old, and the maximum age is nine years old. Vet visits and consultations also capped at $300.

In case you cannot care for your pet due to an emergency, they offer the emergency boarding benefit capped at $500. With the policy, it entitles your pet accommodations at a licensed boarding facility while you are away. The plan also allows your pet for a cruciate ligaments conditions benefit capped at $2,600.

The Petsecure Accident cover is essential coverage for this insurance plan. The policy covers accidental injuries only and does not cover illnesses. It has a yearly maximum of $8,000, including hospitalization, surgeries, visit any licensed vets in Australia, medicines and drugs, and Lifetime cover. However, this policy does not include the options for routine care and alternative therapy. The minimum age your pet is eligible for the system is eight weeks old, and there is no age limit.

You are also eligible for a cruciate ligaments benefit with a cap of $2,600. Your pet is also suitable for an emergency boarding benefit capped at $500.

What we love about the Accident and Illness cover is that your pet is eligible for a tick paralysis treatment at $500. Both policies also have a 10% discount if you enrol more than one pet.

Since the company believes in helping the pet community, they have special discounts for those who have assistance dogs, those senior or pension cardholders, or if you own a rescue pet. Those eligible can avail of the 10% lifetime discount. You also have a 21-day money-back guarantee, wherein the company refunds all your money if you cancel the policy. This guarantee is as long as no claims made during the 21 days cooling-off period.

Both policies have a reimbursement rate option. You can choose from 75% or 85%. You can also choose fortnightly, monthly, or annually for your annual policy payment. Just note that there is a $1.00 collection charge for a fortnight and monthly collections.
